Shimma Silk Fibres

Fibre Fusion is proud to  launch its beautiful range of Shimma Silk Fibres and a new colour palette of over a dozen delicious  colours.

Pictured right is a close up of one of our glorious willow coloured silk laps.

Available   in both undyed and dyed solid colours, we have silk laps, tops, caps, and filament. We have attempted to make them as colourfast as possible but there may still be some dye discharge when water and soap is applied. 

Shimma Silk Fibres can be used in all sorts of textile pursuits including  spinning, paper making, wet felting, needle felting, doll making  and machine embellishment to name a few! 

Whilst silk fibres can't felt by themselves due to a lack of scales, felters use felting wool as the 'glue' to felt silk fibres into the wool.

The  Shimma range currently does not include silk fabrics.
