These delightful hand dyed Australian mohair locks are  larger curls than our standard mohair curls.  They are also a shorter lock, being on average about 5-7cm unstretched or 10 - 14cm when stretched straight.  They are hand dyed and may contain small amounts of organic matter like specs of grass and dust.  Needle felters love to these curls for dolls hair  and animal coats. The locks have very few scales but can be thinned out and laid on top of your felting wool  in a similar way to silk fibres to create wonderful surface design.
